Mud & Mischief

I get tons of internet ’stuff’ in my various inboxes, most of it fairly amusing but very little that I’m ever stirred to forward on to anyone else. However, I got a link to this today and for some reason, found it very funny. Must be the hormones.

Gramps is critical, however, so it’s just a matter of time there. I’m very sad about the whole thing, but it feels very different from the start of the year when we lost Terry and Tina. With them, there was a great deal of railing against the fates; of that it wasn’t fair and why and a lot of angst. With Gramps, he’s a good twenty years older than Grandad and Grandma were. After all, he’s actually called G-G by the girls. Great Gramps was too much of a mouthful for a 2 year old. He’s very tired, and in the natural order of things, it’s his time. Even if every day this week the docs have said it’s only a matter of hours and he’s proved them wrong by rallying back every afternoon. Have just spoken to Mom who’s at the hospital now and she laughed when I called him a stubborn old sod.

Off to do some tidying up. Have started having nesting urges, which are very odd for me. Better make the most of them.
