Low iron
Got a phonecall from the docs this morning, asking me to go in for another blood test and to pick up the iron tablets that had been prescribed for me. Bleargh, is all I can say. I don’t do iron tablets. Googled around and found something called Spatone that’s subsequently been recommended by a couple of mums at school so will try that. And Floradix. My Hb count is 9.8 which, whilst not as low as I have been in the past, might go some way towards explaining the exhaustion and breathlessness I’ve been experiencing lately. And probably the palpitations and feeling wrung out after just going upstairs.
Going to see if they’ll do the bloods at the hospital tomorrow when I go for my scan, as that would be easier than trying to squash my blood test in before having to take Piglet for an eye test with the HV on manic Friday. We’ll see.
